Subject to approval, the chair of econometrics is offering a PostDoc
position as part of the research project
Impact evaluation and labour markets in Africa - Impakt Evaluation und
Arbeitsmärkte in Afrika.
The candidate should ideally combine knowledge and interests in the fields
- Impact evaluation, treatment effects, microeconometrics - Labour
markets - African datasets and institutions.
The main focus of this position will be on research, with some teaching
related to the candidate’s field of interest.
The position is 3+3 years, with opportunity to write a Habilitation.
The chair of econometrics focuses resources on impact evaluation
(estimation of treatment effects, theory and applications) and impact
evaluation and applied micro in developing countries, mostly Africa.
The Universität Mannheim is one of the leading universities in economics
in Germany according to several recent rankings. The candidate would
benefit from and contribute to a stimulating environment at an
internationally renowned economics department, with a particularly
strong econometrics and statistics group.
