in the Department of Geography at Indiana University are
accepting applications for M.S. and Ph.D. students with interests in the
following (faculty contacts for these areas are provided):
(i) Climate downscaling and analysis of historical climate variability at
the regional, continental, and global scales (Pryor, Robeson)
(ii) Biogeochemical cycling – specifically atmosphere-surface exchange with
foci on carbon, energy, water and particles (Barthelmie,
Brown, Dragoni, Pryor, Rahman)
(iii) Sustainable energy systems with a focus on wind energy (Barthelmie,
Pryor)
The Department has excellent facilities for experimental research including
an AmeriFlux tower. We also have extensive expertise
and world-class computational resources for research in remote sensing, GIS,
and spatial statistics.
